CSVCompare
CSVCompare is a single-purpose-built tool that compares two lists and returns the matches between the two. It can optionally encode one of the lists in MD5, and was specifically built to manage the process of comparing email lists to suppression lists. As such, it only compares the first column of each of the csv files, which must be tab or line-delimited.
You can easily use CSVCompare to:
- Suppress an Email List against an MD5 encoded suppression file
- Compare any two csvs to find matches between the first two columns
Creative users will no doubt find more ways to utilize CompareCSV.
- To install and use CompareCSV, unzip the CompareCSV folder into the desired directory (“c:\comparecsv” is recommended).
- Navigate to the directory where you unzipped the folder and double-click CompareCSV.
- Follow the outlined steps to compare your csv files.
